- Summer
Youth Explorations
The
Michigan Technological University
Summer Youth Program (SYP) will
introduce you to careers and allow
you to develop new skills through
laboratory, classroom, and field
experiences.

- Women
In Engineering
The
Women in Engineering Workshop (WIE)
allows high school
freshman/sophomore/junior women who
are academically talented in
mathematics and/or science the
opportunity to investigate careers
in engineering and science.

- Explorations
In Engineering
Specifically targeting students from
populations underrepresented in
engineering and science fields
(minority or economically
disadvantaged students), the
Explorations in Engineering Workshop
allows high school freshmen,
sophomores, and juniors the
opportunity to investigate college
options and careers in these fields.

- American
Indian Workshop
The American Indian Workshop (AIW)
introduces young (12-15 years old)
Native American students to the
excitement of a college education
through investigation of biology,
computers, or mathematics.

Women In
Computer Science
Funded by IBM, Women in Computer Science
(WICS) program is an intensive
investigation and discovery of
computer science skills, knowledge,
and careers for young women in
grades 9 – 11.
